Z:Work Downtown is an adaptive reuse project located in Zebulon, North Carolina — one of the fastest-growing small towns in the state. Originally built in 1908, the two-story, 2,500-square-foot structure had long stood as a quiet fixture on the main street. Germano Architecture + Interiors was engaged to bring new life to the building while honoring its historic character.
The project involved a full architectural renovation and owner’s representation during construction. The design focuses on balancing preservation and progress. Z:Work Downtown contributes to Zebulon’s ongoing efforts to strengthen and activate its downtown.
